Salmon River Adventure
Family Camp
July 17-22, 2011

Ages 5 and up

The Salmon River’s warm waters, beautiful white sand beaches, deep pools, and exciting Class-III whitewater provide the perfect setting for fun.  At 425 miles in length, it’s the longest free flowing, undammed river in the Lower 48.  We will run the 53-mile section known as the Lower Gorge.  Exquisite geologic formations are revealed as the water flows through four spectacular canyons. Large white sand beaches figure prominently on the semi-arid riverscape. They provide the ideal setting for camping, relaxation, and the river trip of a lifetime.

Winding Waters River Expeditions will be our Trip Leader for this Adventure.  We will leave Wallowa Lake Camp on Monday morning and return by 6 PM on Thursday evening.  We will stay in rustic lodging at the camp with possible upgrades to yurts if available.  22 person max on this 4 day and 3 night river trip.  Winding Waters River Expeditions will be our outfitters.

Do Your Own Thing!
Meals will be provided but the rest of the time is yours to do as you please. Come by yourself, bring a friend, bring the family and enjoy the many activities available in Wallowa County. Take one last break before the busy fall activities begin.

Hallowed Ground Culture Camp
July 17-21, 2011

Come and share in a cultural experience with people from the Nez Perce, Umatilla and other Native American tribes.  Listen to the elders share ancient traditional stories. Learn new crafts and native dances. Enter into worship around the campfire.  Be called by the bell to the friendship feast where the grace is sung to our Creator and the symbolism of the salmon and other foods is explained.  Take time to tour beautiful Wallowa County.
